What is invisible orthodontics?
The orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with aligning misaligned teeth in an excellent way, through the application of forces, and intervening directly on an aesthetic and functional level. Specifically, invisible orthodontics uses the same forces employed by traditional orthodontics, but through the use of personalized invisible masks (called aligners) that allow the teeth to be moved according to a precise planning.
What are invisible aligners?
Invisible orthodontics allows you to align your teeth correctly without feeling uncomfortable when smiling because of flashy aligners. The invisible templates created to align crooked teeth impart a force that gradually allows the teeth to be moved into the desired position for the completion of the treatment.
How the treatment is carried out:
The first step involves taking an impression of the mouth accompanied by a series of photos of the patient’s face and smile.
The second step involves a computer simulation using software, which shows the virtual 3D treatment: the ClinCheck®, which reports the expected tooth movements during the treatment and shows the patient’s smile at the end of the treatment, always bearing in mind the patient’s expectations and needs.
The masks align your teeth using a series of transparent aligners, custom-designed and created for your teeth to provide you with maximum comfort.
By replacing the aligners every fortnight, your teeth are gradually moved, week by week, until they reach their intended final position.
Each treatment is designed according to the type of malocclusion found and in relation to achieving the predefined goals agreed upon with the patient.
Following the outcome of the simulation and with the full consent of the patient to follow the treatment plan, will be produced invisible veeners customized modeled on the impression collected and that will act, week after week, in a progressive way to align the teeth as planned.
How do clear aligners work?
The aligners align your teeth using a series of clear aligners, which are custom-designed and created for your teeth to offer your comfort.
By replacing the aligners every two weeks, your teeth gradually move, week by week, until they reach their intended final position.
Each treatment is designed according to the type of malocclusion found and in relation to the achievement of the objectives predefined and agreed upon with the patient.
Who is it for?
Invisible orthodontics is indicated for young people, post-adolescents and even adults. Invisible orthodontic splints are ideal for those who:
– practises sports or activities involving trauma (martial arts, rugby, boxing);
– works in contact with the public and therefore has aesthetic needs linked to their job (shop staff, sales staff, front office etc.);
– aesthetic choice, such as adolescents or young adults, who need to correct any defects while still feeling comfortable in a social environment.
